Retirement
Monday, June 4, 2007 at 06:37PM by Kris
The last Monday of our working life is crossed off the retirement countdown calendar. Monday, the day that makes you think every week should be four days of work and three of rest. Yes, that same downer Monday will no longer have the same effect on our lives after today. At 5:30 this morning my mind buzzed with cerebral "to-do" post-its. By 7:15 I'd lost some of the zeal during good morning chats with co-workers. It just happened. I accomplished a lot today but the odds and ends dealings with high school students and teachers side-tracked attaining my intended goals. I can say there's always tomorrow but as evidenced by my calendar I'm running out of working tomorrows ---- rapidly.
